Vaporizer Training

This course will cover the basics of vaporization, why use a vaporizer and the benefi ts of using vaporizers. It will cover general installation guidelines that include the “do’s & don’ts of vaporizer installations. With a heavy focus on Direct Fired vaporizers, the course will cover the operation, application, installation, and maintenance of Algas-SDI vaporizers. Attendees learn to size and select the right product for diff erent applications and will gain a greater knowledge of how and when to apply vaporizers.

BLENDED LEARNING - BASIC PRINCIPLES & PRACTICES

This year APGA is offering Blended Learning for Basic Principles & Practices. What is Blended Learning? Blended Learning combines on-line training with classroom training. Before attending the 1 day review class, you must complete the on-line course (link will be provided upon registration). The program will provide basic knowledge of the propane industry, including propane’s physical and combustion properties and how propane is produced and transported. Completion of this material is a prerequisite to certification in the remaining CETP categories.

Placing Vapor Distribution Systems and Appliances into Operations

This three day course covers the following specifi c areas: a brief view of the exterior system covered in 4.1; a more in-depth explanation of testing for leakage, pressure test, leak check, leak test, regulator flow and lockup testing; conducting interior site assessments; review all types of systems and how they operate differently; connecting regulator and/or vapor meter to interior gas piping; leak check procedures; different methods and code requirements for purging air from gas piping; placing appliances into operation; emergency response to uncontrolled releases of propane; identifying venting requirements; validating combustion air requirements; and customer safety education.

Bobtail Delivery Operations
